The Environment Graduate Programme (EGP) is a Structured PhD Programme for postgraduate students working in the area of Environment.  Currently, EGP students are registered at NUI Galway, NUI Maynooth, TCD, UCC, CIT, UL and QUB and undertake research in Natural and Social Sciences as well as Engineering.  While the main focus of Programme Students is original research, the EGP enables students to undertake discipline-specific and generic skills training. The EGP is being developed to ensure that Programme Graduates will be of the highest calibre, and internationally competitive with a wide range of career options.

The programme was initiated in 2007 using funding awarded by the HEA under the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions Cycle 4, Environment and Climate Change: Impacts and Responses project.
