Prof. O’Dowd is the leader of the Climate Change priority thematic area.  He is also the Director of the Centre for Climate and Air Pollution Studies (C-CAPS), and Director of the Mace Head Atmospheric Research Station.

Prof. Cormican is leader of the Environment and Health priority thematic area.  He is a Professor of Bacteriology, Clinical Vice-Dean of NUI Galway’s Medical School, and also works as a Consultant Microbiologist with University College Hospital, Galway.

Prof. O’Flaherty is the leader of the Energy priority thematic area.  He is also Deputy Director of the Ryan Institute, Director of the Ryan Institute’s Energy Research Centre (ERC), head of NUI Galway’s Department of Microbiology, and head of the Microbial Ecology Laboratory.

Dr. Raine is leader of the Marine and Coastal Processes priority thematic area.  He is a lecturer in Marine Microbiology, and is also head of the Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Research Group.

Dr. Keane is the leader of the Sustainability and Built Environment priority tesearch area.  He is a lecturer in Civil Engineering, and the founder and NUI Galway Head of the Informatics Research Unit for Sustainable Engineering (IRUSE), which is dually affiliated to UCC.

Dr. Hartnett is leader of the Modelling Informatics cross-cutting theme.  He is also the Research Director of the Marine Modelling Centre.

Dr. Leech is leader of the Environmental Technologies cross-cutting theme.  He is a lecturer in the School of Chemistry, and is also the Director of the Biomolecular Electronics Research Laboratory.

Dr. Rau is the leader of the Socio-Economics and Policy cross-cutting theme, and a lecturer in Political Science and Sociology, specialising in environmental sociology and sustainability research.
