The Ryan Institute has approximately 100 academic members, and over 200 postgraduate and postdoctoral research members.  These researchers work very broadly under several priority research themes, with each theme headed by one of our leading academic researchers.  To support this network of researchers there is a group of core development, operations, and technical people.

The Director Prof. Colin Brown, and two Deputy Directors – Professors Mark Johnson and Vincent O’Flaherty – work closely with the Ryan Institute Strategy Committee to direct the running and progress, and long-term strategy, of the Institute.  Expert members of the Institute’s External Advisory Board ensure that the Ryan Institute maintains a standard suitable for competition on an international level.
